The breakfast in the morning was very good. Thank you Ron and Diane for a brillant stay and we will definitely be back. ________________________________________ Name joey Emailguestbook@tripadvisor.comCountrydurhamDate:05/11/09Excellent hotel in the central blackpool. We could not fault anything at all.Good start on a morning with a full english breakfast which was outstanding. The host Dianne and Ron couldnt do enough for you. Cleanliness of the rooms were second to none.Clean towels were provided everyday as well as the room being cleaned. Bed linin also changed but wasnt dirty and didnt need to be. Amenities were just as shown in brochure.we particulary found free computer access really useful. Bar was available and was well stocked. Theres alaso plenty for children to be amused with a toy grabbing machine (which you always seem to win something with a £1 put in it!) a Box of lego as well as computer access. We enjoyed our stay there very much and will be returning very soon! ________________________________________

Name brian and anneEmailguestbook@tripadvisor.comCountryDate:05/11/09Bryan & Anne Derby Had a great week, premises to a high spec.,food excellent, really friendly management and nothing too much trouble. Will be definitely be going back for another dose of their hospitality and would recommend the Jesmond Dene Hotel to anyone wanting a quite place to stop but yet easily within reach of all Blackpools amenities. ________________________________________ NamethistleEmailguestbook@tripadvisor.comCountrybrightonDate:05/11/09We stayed on Saturday 6th December and arrived fairly late. The hotel was easy to find and centrally located. Ron the owner gave us a warm welcome on what was a cold and frosty night, helped us with our luggage, and found a place for us to park, fantastic service, thank you! The Hotel is exceptionally clean and has a plentiful supply of guest amentities and facilites. Unfortunately, our stay was very brief and we had an early departure the following day. However, Ron was up early to provide us with a great breakfast. If you're looking for a Hotel that is well located, good value, clean and provides a friendly service the Jesmond Dene is highly recommended. ________________________________________ NamegazzaEmailguestbook@tripadvisor.comCountrylondonDate:05/11/09we stayed for 3 nights and was looked after very well the food was 10 out of 10 and they could not do enough for you would go back again if you want a nice hotel go here you will enjoy 10 out 10 hotel ________________________________________ NamemervEmailmerv@tripadvisor.comCountryderbyDate:05/11/09We decided to go back to Blackpool for a couple of days in half term, not for the weather obviously, but it's a break and the hotel is a short walk from the sand castle, the cinema and some great restaurants. Ron and Diane remembered us and a hot drink was on offer as we walked in. There was no parking space on the road so Ron moved his car to make space for us, and we planned our break in the bar over a cuppa and some biscuits. The room was the first suprise, freshly decorated with a new flat screen tv with freeview, a new carpet and everything looking fresh and sparkling for the season ahead, the one we stayed in last year was clean and tidy but this year apparently they all have new beds and TV's. Not many guests in but Diane opened the bar for us at tea time and even set a table for the takeaway we came in with, because it was quiet, we sat chatting until late and the hours just passed, this isn't a hotel, it's a second home. Breakfast was served when we got up (it was quiet) freshly cooked by chef Ron and the weather had us in the room all morning watching TV, no pressure to leave. The best suprise came when we paid, 2 nights, a bar bill for the 2 of us, countless snacks and it was less than a night in a travelodge! back again this summer without a doubt! ________________________________________ NametoonarmyEmailtoonarmy@tripadvisor.comCountryukDate:03/10/09This is a fantastic hotel in a very good location. Nameporkys discoEmailguestbook@jesmond-dene.co.ukCountryukDate:01/04/09We are soooo glad we found you, we love the fun and the friendship, Rons humour is legendary and his breakfasts are awesome and Diane's bar room banter is not to be missed. Close to everything the Jesmond Dene is a perfect Blackpool location, spotlessly clean, cheap prices all year the only problem is... getting in! always so busy! Keep it up guys - see you soon. ________________________________________ NameruskyEmailguestbook@tripadvisor.co.ukCountryukDate:01/04/09Mar 26, 2008 I came across the Jesmond Dene by accident. I was looking for a hotel that would take a group of adults and kids who had met on a previous holiday. I spoke to Diane several time before we arrived and she was very helpful and friendly. We arrived to stay over the Easter weekend and our room was ready when we got there - which was about 10.00am (most hotels you can't get in til after 2pm). I was greeted with a cup of tea while my other half fretted about the parking - there is very little in blackpool close to the B&B's but Ron did not rest until he had sorted some out for us. Nothing was too much trouble for Diane and Ron. The rooms were light and airy and cleaned to a really high standard and out breakfast was cooked fresh both mornings we were there. When looking for a B&B in blackpool it is pot luck to find a decent one - especially when you hear some horror stories about some of the establishments there. We have dropped on a little gold mine at the Jesmond Dene and it is a place that we shall return to time after time. ________________________________________

Namedelightfull d glasgowEmailguestbook@tripadvisor.co.ukCountryukDate:01/04/09May 20, 2008 From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by Diane and Ron in a friendly manner. The hotel and rooms were spotless and the little extras made it that bit more special. Diane and Ron done everything to make our stay more enjoyable. The prices at the bar were very reasonable and if they didn't have something we were looking for they got it for us. The cooked breakfast was amazing. I will definately be staying there on my next visit to Blackpool. ________________________________________

NameIllustrated mum Emailguestbook@tripadvisor.co.ukCountryukDate:01/04/09When we arrived it was 10:30 pm and ron parked the car at the back of the jesmond dene for us,which was great as i was shattered after getting lost in blackpool at the end of the journey. The room was spotless and nothing to complain about at all. The only snags are:it would have been nice to have had clean mugs put in our room on day 2 and better parking, but then again like any seaside town very difficult to provide for this . I would suggest staying here and will stay again. comment from management below Glad you enjoyed your stay and the free parking and free wristbands that we did not have to provide. If you needed clean cups on the second day you only had to ask and they would have been providied The reason that you never got clean cups on the second day was because I could not get to the cups due to birthday cards and personal belongings all over the place I did not feel it was my place to be moving your presents etc when your not there. your room was cleaned where I could get, your bed was made and clean towels provided.you only paid £22 per person you dont get a personal maid I think the free £8 wristband and free parking more than justified you having to wash 3 cups ________________________________________

Namemoody cow londonEmailguestbook@tripadvisor.co.ukCountryukDate:01/04/09Jun 30, 2008 i really enjoyed my stay at the jesmond dean the people were very friendly, when we came in late it didnt matter, we thought we made lots of noise on one of our birthdays but they didnt hear us.teh only bad thing i can say is the showers were bad not very powerfull at all.the rooms were lovely and hommy, not far from the town or the pleasure beach, couldnt o. f asked for a better hotel. very enjoyed it thanks x ________________________________________

Namemervous derbyEmailguestbook@tripadvisor.co.ukCountryukDate:01/04/09Anyone who ever reads my reviews will know that as I travel around a bit, I book on location first price second, in English of course this means i get the cheapest hotel in the area. The jesmond dene should most definately not fall into this category, we were well undercharged for a most pleasant short stay. First impressions were that it was a nice clean modern guest house type affair, except the rooms (we had 2 of them) had en suite, there was a free internet cafe in the front, yes you read that right FREE internet cafe, with Diane, the owner helping the kids find whatever they wanted, and a great little bar which, thanks to the british weather was packed when we were there and when you pay for your drinks, you know why it's packed! The rooms are clean and comfortable, the bed combined with the sea air and cheap drinks had us asleep in minutes and the owners only rule seems to be "if you come in late, come in quietly!" so even the clubbers in the next room didn't wake us up. Breakfast in the morning was better than the one you pay £15 for at the holiday inn, fresh and loads of it and due to the popularity of the hotel is done in 2 sittings so your not hanging around waiting for a table. For an evening meal Ron and Di were happy to set up tables for us to bring in a chinese from the one they recommended round the corner and the five of us pigged out for about £5 a head and Ron even served us drinks from the bar - incredible! The location is [-] on for the beach and the pleasure beach, even the tower is a nice gentle walk away and if Blackpool council ever wake up to the fact that tourists would rather have a car park than some of the empty buildings falling into ruin in the back streets, Blackpool would be the number one family resort it deserves to be. This was our first trip to Blackpool for many years, we went for a laugh really, not expecting much of the place and were pleasantly surprised, theres loads to do for the kids without breaking the bank, the beach is world class, theres history, a theme park, 3 piers and a really good atmosphere when the sun comes out. Were going back again later in the year - after staying in some of the larger hotels in this green and pleasant land it'll be good to get a proper cooked breakfast. My only complaint? A bad head in the morning thanks to the bar and my lack of will power, Great little place! ________________________________________
